PokerStars sets a new Guinnes World Record

65,000 PokerStars players sat down last sunday to beat the Guinness World Record for the largest online poker tournament ever held. The previous record, 35,000, got smashed by 30,000 players even tho the tournament was pulled together in short notice to defend the title as FullTilt Poker had plans to take the record in their name.

FullTilt Poker didn't do bad either, altho they broke the old record with their 50,000 players it was no match PokerStars' new record.

Buy-in for they tournament was $1 and the prize pool was doubled from $65,000 to $130,000, paying top 16,250 finishers.
