Back from the Bangkok trip with YW, nothing really epic though as Mr Ryu Dang's promise of penthouse models wasn't fulfilled while I was over there. YW did have a good time I presume, it always feels nice to be over there to meet up with the guys. I was happy that I did manage to dodge all the credit card flips but I do extend my gratitude to Johannes and Chris for providing freeroll on seafood dinner and drinks for poor asians like me and Ryu.

Life in Singapore has been pretty standard stuff, played some live games, spewed in some pretty bad spots as usual. I figure those spewage spots have to go before I can truely become a rounder at the live cash games. Been pretty with various other stuff as well but I did manage to bring the family out for brunch on Mother's Day at Wasabi Bistro. The food was decent and I would definitely recommend it to others as well.

I've decide to take Ian on as my new protege. I think with a fair bit of hardwork, this guy can go far in his poker game. Also he seems to have a real willingness to learn and improve his game. At the same time it re-ignites my interest in the game theory part of poker playing as i have to revisit all these points of thought while explaining certain concepts to him. Let's hope its gonna be good foresight on my part.

I'm becoming less and less resentful of all the stuff that's being enforced on me. Its done me good definitely, I feel I'm in a pretty zen state of mind in whatever I've been doing with the lone exception when it comes to weight loss. Poker wise, cash games have been alright with the lower variance approach. Having stable monthly income definitely beats the cycle of constantly trying to jump up in stakes.
